Jed's birthday cont...

Jed actually had his birthday off this year, so we got a babysitter, rallied Beth and Shae and went shooting. It was a beautiful morning, but started to rain just as we headed out. Luckily, we are tough as nails and it didn't phase us one bit. :)
Then a few days later our friends, Jon and Kelly, came over with their girls and a DELICIOUS chocolate cake for Jed. He was in heaven. This after many birthday wishes from friends and family and treats (homemade apple pie!) at work. Overall I think that he had a great birthday...thank you to all of you who helped us celebrate.

Basketball

In January the boys played basketball and LOVED it. Davis came out the first week and was a total ball hog. As the weeks went on he grew discouraged because his team never won. Really both boys were discouraged for that reason. The funny thing is that they don't keep score at this age, but our boys could tell you exactly what the score was. True competitors...where do they get that? Owen really looked forward to playing each week as well. What more could we ask for out of an extracurricular experience.

Valentine Celebrations

Well, I have officially become my mother...I headed up the Valentine party in Owen's classroom and loved every minute of it. The kids were all so excited. Amazing how excited they get over cards from their peers and SUGAR!!!!

This year we had a Valentine party with our music class at our home. As it happened it was also our friend Ella's second birthday. The kids had fun reading stories, frosting cupcakes, decorating bags, and exchanging valentines.

I love this holiday!

Happy Birthday Jed!

Happy Birthday Jed!
It may sound corny and cliche, but I really am married to my best friend. I value his opinion, ideas and support more than I ever imagined.
May this year be even more fulfilling than the last!
We love you! E, O, D, K & G
