Life through their eyes

Recently I downloaded the pictures off of my iPod....I had about 50 versions of each of these photos.  It is amazing how fast they snap 50 photos.

Spring Fever

I love our yard in the Spring.

Frogs

Today the kids caught this frog and played with it for at least an hour.  What easy entertainment.  It reminded me of a funny thing...the other day Kate was talking to herself in the mirror and I asked her, "Are you talking to the mirror again?"  She said, "If you talk to much in the mirror then you will turn into a frog!"  I think it was the smile I gave her that made her say, "That's not really true, is it?" I told her, "No. That's not true.  Who told you that?" To which she responded with a smile and giggle, "Papa!" Leave it to my dad!  :)

Twelve

Today Jed and I are celebrating our 12th anniversary.  Really?  A dozen years already?  That means we have been together over 14 years.  Amazing how time really does fly.  Each year I grow to appreciate, understand and love him more.

Last month Jed ran a 10 mile race with his friend, Jason.  He only trained 5 or 6 weeks for the race and when I saw him cross the finish line at what I thought was an INCREDIBLE time, I had tears fill my eyes.  Really, it was so invigorating.  One thing that I admire about Jed is that he sets a goal and you know it is going to get accomplished.  He is very determined once his mind is focused on something (I will admit, sometimes I change the above sentence to say, "UGH! You can be so stubborn sometimes!"---just keepin' in real y'all).
Another thing I love about Jed is that he is humble/frugal enough to wear Owen's Spy Gear Watch to clock his time for the race...ah, a man after my own heart!

Easter

These photos are fairly self-explanatory...just wanted to document Easter a little more.

 Egg Hunts on Saturday...

I Love you...SPARK!

For months now I have been meaning to note the nighttime ritual for Kate and Gracie.  They, along with the boys, do their after dinner jobs, brush their teeth, put on their pajama, read scriptures, say prayers and then we tuck them in.  Before we leave the room they insist on hugs and kisses and then they make the "I love you sign" and yell "SPARK!", followed by a list of things that they love.  Usually it goes something like this, "Rainbow, Handstand, Hello Kitty....BYE!"  I love how spastic they are...
