This makes me happy...

Today is my Dad's birthday, so here is a shout out to my Dad...Happy Birthday Dad! My Dad (check out the previous post for a pic of my handsome Dad with Kate last month) is the ultimate example of a man who works hard for his family. I am grateful to have a Dad who is supportive and believes that I can do and be anything...even the mother of four! My kids adore him and really what more could I ask for? We love you and wish we were with you today!

In other news...Summer seems to have hit full force with the memorial day celebration, so I just had to post a couple of pics of a scene that makes me very happy.

April in 9 pictures...

What can I say? Life is busy. I was doing so well at updating my blog once a week, but something happened. We are going to blame this one on pregnancy as well, okay?

Anyway, here you have it, "April in 9 pictures". The highlights here include: Owen taking a field trip to a local pottery shop (they made Mother's Day gifts, a small tile plate with Owen's hand print...you know I love it and display it proudly), the annual dying of the Easter eggs only to be followed a week later by the now annual shooting of the Easter eggs with a bb gun (yep, that's right channel your inner hick sometime and try it...Davis especially thought it was "awesome"), Owen started spring soccer and will tell you that this season he "is on fire!" (he really has had fun), and of course the trip to see my parents at the beginning of the month. My dear friend Kelli and her two kids and my fun sister and her husband and their kids, met me and my gang there. Jed was at a conference, so it was either stay home alone or drive 7 hours and have the kids entertained for a week. Is there really a question here? It was TOTALLY worth the drive. We loved being with cousins, friends grandparents, experiencing lego mania, celebrating Kelli and Amy's birthdays, pedicures for all the moms and my darling neice Emma....too much fun. Yeah April!

Nine Years...

Today Jed and I are celebrating nine years of marriage...Holy Cow! Time seems to be really flying by. I find that scary and amazing at the same time. This means that Jed has been a part of my life for over 11 years...more than a third of my life. Whoa. So it only seems appropriate that I give a big shout out here to my sweetheart. Happy Anniversary Jed. Thank you for keeping me grounded in the things that are really important, for laughing at my jokes, for your kind heart and loving example to me and our children, for working hard for our family...and on...and on and on...I love you and your soccer legs more and more each year. Here's to an eternity together!
