We hope that you all are having as nice of an Easter Sunday as we are. We really have been ramping up the Easter celebrations here all week with a party with a play group, an Easter egg hunt at my Great-Aunt Kathleen's house and then today being the actual Easter holiday.
A couple of things that I want to be sure to note this year are:
1. The boys decided to see if the Easter Bunny would be willing to make a deal with them. He didn't have to bring them any candy this year, in exchange for a new Transformer (Mom and Dad were pretty happy with this deal...no listening to the boys beg/whine/plead for treats for days and days...sign me up! I regret to say that I have passed on my sweet tooth to all three of these little ones!).
2. After Davis saw "It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown" he cannot seem to grasp the idea that it is an Easter Bunny and not an Easter Beagle. He even prayed the other day that the Easter Beagle would be safe. Does he even understand what a Beagle is?
3. While riding in the car Davis was talking about how the Easter Beagle was going to bring him a Transformer and Owen said, "Davis, Easter isn't just about Transformers, it's about hunting and Jesus." This took me a moment, but my searching mind caught hold of what he was saying, "Easter egg hunts and Jesus". Well, we are doing our best to teach them that we are really celebrating the resurrection of the Savior, but I guess we have only been 50% successful. We'll keep trying.
Happy Easter!

So cute! Love the boys blue sweaters and Kate's pretty purple outfit. Great deal with the Easter bunny. I wish we had known he was willing to work a bargain. We all shared one basket this year, and it was just enough sweets for the day, some little toys, chalk and a jumprope.
